Is your Courier a Courier?

Dale Cole • Oct 28, 2019

Get ready for the countdown to Christmas.

It's nearly the time of year when businesses and consumers need there goods transported but is the person you choose to transport your goods a experienced fully insured courier.

This time of year couriers just seem to appear from literally no where although this is good to keep goods moving please check that they are indeed fully insured, check to see if there insurance covers both there selves and the public, have they declared that they are using there vehicle for hire and reward do they carry suitable goods in transit insurance.

There will be a lot of genuine temporary couriers around from now until January 2020 but be careful of the ones that will transport goods for a 'really cheap price' as there is usually a reason why it's cheap.

Check to see how lg they have been in business perhaps feedback, there experience in handling similar goods, businesses that are established may not be the cheapest but they ensure your goods are handled correctly and are taken care of.

Any genuine courier will not mind you asking them for insurance info, feedback etc but i bet the ones that are not so equal will mind.

Our core business is structured around supporting other business / companies to transport goods on there behalf on a sameday basis i.e. collection and delivery of goods on the sameday. This means businesses / companies that we work on behalf of do not need to worry about expenses such as vehicle lease, insurance, fuel, tax, wages, repairs etc. All they have to do is to book us and we will take care of the rest. We do occasionally transport goods for members of the public however we do not like to Co-load items such as paintings that could be worth a lot of money with other items, we prefer to transport goods on a job by job basis therefore we minimize the risk of the goods we transport becoming damaged, however this means our prices reflect this but it also means we have had a great history of the goods we transport be delivered in the condition they were when we collected them. This also means that unlike the likes of DPD, Yodel etc. The goods we transport are handled by several different people at several different depots and transported by several different vehicles throughout the UK, we collect and deliver the goods generally with the same vehicle & person who collected it unless there are access issues. I hope this has explained things a little for everyone. Stay safe and take care of yourselves.
